Mrs Shukla was appointed as a Urogynecology Consultant in 2010. Her first employment as a consultant Urogynecologist was at Peterborough Hospital in 2009. She was trained in India and then in the UK, in the Oxford region. She covers all the aspects of Gynecologyand her clinical interest are Bladder function,Vaginal support, Childbirth / pregnancy related issues, Bowel function,General and adolescent gynecology, Sexual function, Investigations Provided, Procedures performed . She also provides colposcopy service as well as antenatal and postnatal care.

She teaches advanced prolapse surgery and ultrasound scanning. She is also caring the professional membership of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, British Society of Urogynaecologists, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology
